A new research has shown those who are lazy are actually intelligence. That’s because lazy people have more a chance to think. Those who complete their day with a lot of physical activity are described as “non-thinkers.”
By staying busy, they are trying to leave their ideas. New research seems to prove the concept that brilliant people be more time lazing around than their active alternatives.
Those who a great high intelligent quotient get bored less quickly, leading them to spend more time involved in thought, they said.
And active people may be more energetic as they need to initialize their ideas with external activities, either to keep their ideas or because they get bored quickly.
Researchers from the Florida Gulf Coast University gave a classic test, The scientists, led by Simon McElroy selected 30 ‘thinkers’ and 30 ‘non-thinkers’ from the pool of applicants.
Over the next seven days, Both groups wore a device on their wrist which monitored their movements and activity levels, providing a constant flow of data on how physically active they were. Results revealed the thinking group was far less active during the week than the non-thinkers.
The results of the study, published in the Journal of Health Psychology, were described as “highly significant” and “robust” in mathematical terms. But the weekend revealed no difference between the two groups, something which has not been able to be described.
The researchers pulled from past works to describe that physical actions levels are associated with physical behavior. For example, a past research found that those considered non-thinkers became bored much easier and also experienced the negative effects that come with it.
Those with great ‘need for cognition’ seemed to avoid this behavior because they were able to provide their own mental stimulation.
