India captain Virat Kohli is the solo player from the country to feature in the top 10 of the ICC Players Rankings for ODIs as he hopes to hold on to his 3rd spot in the batsman’s table. Indian team held on to the 4th place in the latest ICC ODI rankings.
Rohit Sharma (12th), Mahendra Singh Dhoni (13th) are other Indians players to feature in the top twenty of the ICC Players Ranking for ODI batsmen and Shikhar Dhawan, who dropped a place to 15th.
No Indian bowler in top 10 rank
It is very disappointing for India in the bowler’s rank as not a single bowler from the India features in the top 10 list. Spinner Axar Patel and Matt Henry(New Zealand’s player) at the joint 11th place, Amit Mishra (13th) and off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin (18th) are the other two Indian bowlers to feature in the top 20 rank. Fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has led the charge of India’s bowlers by jumped 13 places. Umesh Yadav has received two places and is now 41st, while Jasprit Bumrah is 43rd after increasing 3 places.
